A place to pray, too
Francisco Lopez ·

There's a side to the foundation that doesn't always show up in the photos of snack time or grocery bags, but that's been part of our name since day one: faith.
There was an afternoon of torrential rain when we were about to call off an outdoor gathering. "I apologize to everyone if this gets cancelled, but it just won't stop raining", it was said at one point. And yet people started showing up in the rain anyway, and that's when we understood it was the moment to give a word instead of putting on a show.
That faith also lives indoors, in smaller gatherings, in a hug and a shared prayer between neighbors, hand on chest, eyes closed. For us, accompanying someone also means this: praying together, holding each other up, and believing that things can change.
