Learning the vowels at the merendero

On that same table where snacks are shared, notebooks sometimes come out too: this time, full pages for practicing the vowels, letter by letter, until they come out neat. "Second day, and we're already on this", someone said as each kid finished their line.

It's not a formal class yet, and there's no fixed schedule, but it's a space we've been opening up little by little: a bit of time to support the kids with reading and writing, with patience and plenty of colorful drawings to make it fun.

Every bit of progress, no matter how small, gets celebrated the way it deserves.
